Split – Dalmatian islands – Dubrovnik cycling tour

“Split to Dubrovnik” self-guided bicycle tour offers you the possibility to visit the best of the south Croatian coast: you start the tour from the city of Split, you do the island hopping (and cycling as well) over the islands of Hvar and Korčula (and Pelješac peninsula), which offer some amazing architecture along the road (cities like Hvar, Korčula, Ston), memorable views and delicious food and wines. You can relax and refresh in the crystal clear Adriatic sea at the end of your cycling day. The tour’s last two days are spent in Dubrovnik and Konavle region, where you mix some sightseeing and cycling through the vineyards of Konavle valley. We guarantee you that it will be hard to say goodbye to this part of Croatia, but we are sure that you will be back sooner than later!

Day 1st Arrival to Split hotel

Arrival to B&B in Split, according to your arrival time, meeting with our representative and fitting the bikes. Warming up ride in Split. Overnight Split


Day 2nd: Split – Hvar island.

The morning ferry to Hvar island (port Starigrad) arrives around 10.30 bike ride along the coast to town Starigrad and Agar valley, continues to Selca, Velo Grablje and Brusje (old road to town Hvar), a biking distance of about 40 km. Overnight Hvar town

Highlights: Old town Hvar, lavender fields, great views, a fortress in Hvar


Day 3rd: Hvar – Korcula island

Check out from Hvar B&B and private boat transfer (water taxi) to Vela Luka town on Korcula (45 min boat ride), cycling from Vela Luka across Korcula island to Korcula town and Lumbarda.

Biking distance 55 – 60 km

Highlights: coastal area and cliffs of Korcula island, medieval town of Korcula and Marco Polo birthplace.


Day 4th: Korcula island – Peljesac peninsula.

Morning ride to ferry port and ferry to Orebic town on Peljesac peninsula. Bike ride along the peninsula in the distance of 60 km. Highlights: vineyards and wine cellars, dry stone walls, picturesque bays and beaches, great wall of Ston town. 


 Day 5th: Dubrovnik

Morning shuttle to Dubrovnik,

Optional guided sightseeing tour in the historical center, rest of the day free to explore the town a little bit on your own.

Overnight Dubrovnik.

Highlights: historical center, old city walls, main street Stradun, island Lokrum.


Day 6th: Konavle countryside.

-          Morning car shuttle to Konavle (farming land between Dubrovnik and Montenegro border). Cycling in the valley, through stone villages and by picturesque farms. Cycling distance 65 km.

Highlights:

River Ljuta (spring and watermills), the valley of Konavle with Franciscan monastery from 15th century, fortress Sokol from 15th century


Day 7th tour end: shuttle to Dubrovnik airport or your hotel in Dubrovnik
