This self-guided cycling journey takes you along the stunning southern Croatian coastline, from Dubrovnik through Pelješac peninsula and the islands of Korčula and Hvar, finishing in Split. Expect historic towns, crystal-clear Adriatic waters, vineyards, olive groves, medieval architecture, and unforgettable panoramic views.

Free afternoon to explore
After settling in, head into Dubrovnik’s UNESCO-listed Old Town. Walk the spectacular Walls of Dubrovnik for panoramic Adriatic views, take a short boat ride to Lokrum for a swim or peaceful nature walk, or ride the cable car up Mount Srđ for a memorable sunset.

Day 2 – Konavle countryside ride
Short morning transfer to Konavle Valley.
Option 1: 35 km / 400 m elevation
Option 2: 65 km / 980 m elevation
Konavle is Dubrovnik’s green hinterland — a peaceful agricultural valley of vineyards, olive groves and stone villages. Cycling here offers a completely different perspective from the coast: quiet country roads, the Ljuta River, traditional mills and authentic rural life.

Day 3 – Dubrovnik Riviera to Ston & Pelješac Peninsula
45km / 860m elevation
Ride along the Dubrovnik Riviera, where the Adriatic sea meets pine forests and small fishing villages.
Arrival in Ston — famous for its monumental defensive walls (the longest in Europe) and centuries-old salt pans still in operation. The area is also renowned for oysters and excellent local wines.

Day 4 – Pelješac Peninsula to Korčula Island
60 km / 970 m elevation
Today you cross the Pelješac peninsula, Croatia’s most celebrated wine region. The ride takes you through inland vineyards of Plavac Mali, small stone settlements and panoramic coastal viewpoints.
After the ferry crossing, you reach Korčula island — often called “Little Dubrovnik” for its fortified medieval old town and narrow stone streets.

Day 5 – Korčula island ride & ferry to Hvar
45 km / 610 m elevation
Route: Korčula Town – Lumbarda – Račišće Bay – Korčula Town
This ride showcases Korčula’s diversity: sandy beaches near Lumbarda, vineyards producing the rare Grk wine, quiet coastal roads and hidden coves perfect for a swim.
Afternoon ferry to Hvar island.

Day 6 – Hvar island grand loop
Approx. 65 km / 1,220 m elevation
Moderate to challenging
Hvar combines Mediterranean glamour with authentic island heritage. Climb above Hvar town toward lavender fields near Brusje, then descend to Stari Grad — one of the oldest towns in Croatia. The ride continues through the UNESCO-protected Stari Grad Plain, a landscape shaped by ancient Greek settlers 2,400 years ago.
Highlights include charming Jelsa, canal-lined Vrboska, traditional villages Pitve and Malo Grablje, and panoramic fortress views above Hvar Town.

Day 7 – Ferry to Split & coastal Ride
Morning ferry to Split.
Split is a vibrant coastal city built around the Roman Palace of emperor Diocletian. Explore the lively Riva promenade and cycle around Marjan Hill Park for spectacular views of the city and nearby islands.
Optional city exploration ride: approx. 20 km
Bike collection in the afternoon or next morning.
