Split to Dubrovnik a self-guided bicycle tour offers you the possibility to visit the best of the south Croatian coast: you start the tour from the city of Split, you do the island hopping (and cycling as well) over the islands of Hvar and Korčula (and Pelješac peninsula), which offer some amazing architecture along the road (cities like Hvar, Korčula, Ston), memorable views and delicious food and wines. You can relax and refresh in crystal clear Adriatic sea at the end of your cycling day. The tour’s last two days are spent in Dubrovnik and Konavle region, where you mix some sightseeing and cycling through the vineyards of Konavle valley. We guarantee you that is will be hard to say goodbye to this part of Croatia, we are sure that you will be back sooner than later!

Rental quotation is based on 6 days.

Trip includes: all lodging, breakfast daily, ferry tickets, luggage transfers, at some islands where hotels are within walking distances to the port, transfer of the bags is not included. Upon booking we sent GPX routes and maps and all relevant information for your trip. GPX routes and maps please download to your smart phone or Garmin. Possible rent a Garmin device from us.
Bike delivery to Split, bike fitting, private boat transfer from Hvar to Korcula island. Transportation as in program, suggestions for visitation and dining, our assistance when it is needed.

Itinerary

Day 1st : arrival to Split

Arrival to accommodation in Split, according to your arrival time meeting with our representative and fitting the bikes. Warming up ride in Split.

Overnight: Split


Day 2nd : Split – Hvar island (distance 42 km, elevation gain about 600 m)

Morning ferry to Hvar island (port Stari Grad) arrival to Stari Grad around 10:30 a.m., bike ride along the coast to town Stari Grad and Stari Grad plain (Ager), continue to Selca, Velo Grablje and Brusje (old road to town Hvar), biking distance about 40 km.

Overnight: Hvar town

Meals included: breakfast

Highlights: Old town Hvar, lavender fields, great views, fortress in Hvar


Day 3rd: Hvar – Korcula island (distance 58 km, elevation gain 820 m)

Check out from Hvar B&B and private boat transfer (water taxi) to Vela Luka town on Korcula island (45 min boat ride), cycling from Vela Luka across Korcula island to Korcula town and the town of Lumbarda.

Overnight: Lumbarda

Meals included: breakfast

Highlights: coastal area and cliffs of Korcula island, medieval town of Korcula and Marco Polo birthplace.


Day 4th: Korcula island – Peljesac peninsula (distance 50 km, elevation gain 550 m)

Morning ride to ferry port and ferry to Orebic town on Peljesac peninsula. Bike ride along the peninsula.

Overnight: Ston

Meals included: breakfast

Highlights: vineyards and wine cellars, dry stone walls, picturesque bays and beaches, great wall of Ston town. 


Day 5th: Dubrovnik

In the morning we will take a shuttle to Dubrovnik.

Optional guided sightseeing tour in the historical centre. You will spend the rest of the day at your leisure and get a chance to explore the city on your own.

Overnight: Dubrovnik

Meals included: breakfast

Highlights: historical center, the Old city walls, main street Stradun, the island of Lokrum


Day 6th: Konavle countryside

In the morning we will take a shuttle to Konavle (the area of farming land just before the border with Montenegro). We will go cycling through the valley, through the villages and pass by picturesque farms. The cycling distance is 65km.

Overnight: Gruda (Konavle)

Meals included: breakfast

Highlights: Ljuta River (its spring and water mills), Konavle valley with a Franciscan monastery from the 15th century, the Sokol fortress from the 15th century


Day 7th:  end of the tour

Transfer to Dubrovnik Airport or your next hotel in Dubrovnik.
